16

Announcing the arrival at halfway through teens
My beautiful daughter has just turned sixteen;
So let's give her a hand and a shoulder to lean
As her hormones are still at that inbetween.
Happy 16th Birthday Daughter

For my best friend who is 16 today!

All of a sudden don't let it go to your head
The do's and the dont's may change;
You don't have to do what you're told now you can
Your priorities do not rearrange.

Our gap year plans are still in the air
Another two years to go;
We mustn't lose the plot now
It depends all on us you know.

So whilst the partylife may increase
Let's stay close friends right throughout;
Watching each others backs alright
As from the top of the pile we shout!!
Happy Birthday Sister!

21

Twenty one today, twenty one today
Who's got the key of the door;
Never been twenty one before.

The rules are now that you're on your own
The law says that you can decide;
What to do and say or how to do it
As through life you stride.

So remember all the good things
Push aside anything bad;
Enjoy your youth and happiness
Whilst you're still a lad.

Birthdays are quite nice to have
Being the centre of attention;
They do leave lots of other days
Far too many to mention.

So soak it up and take it in
Enjoy and savor every minute;
We hope you like your gifts
Some sent to you with wit.

All grown up and looking great
Off out to party in the town tonight;
Break a leg as the saying goes
And Thank You for the invite!

30

You may well feel like crying
A decade been and gone;
Just look forward to those in front
Whilst you can party through to dawn.

No aches and pains
No wrinkles or grey hairs;
Lots of love flying around
And you still run up those stairs

When you turn thirty, a whole new thing happens:
you see yourself acting like you parents.

Before the day is out
Someone's bound to say;
Make the most of it my girl
You're nearly at the halfway.

The answer is to take each day as a gift
That is why it is called the present;
It's the one from God we cannot ignore
And the one we should make well spent.

40

This the one when you sure feel good
When you've just got things under control;
Life's fantastic and happy and full
On your way to achieving life's goal.

Enjoy and soak it up my friend
As soon the bits start falling off;
The aches and the pains will murmur
Listen to your self and don't scoff.

It's the journey that is the point
Where you're going is neither here nor there;
So whatever it is that you're doing well
Love friends and family, stay healthy and share.

Hip Hip Hooray, on your Big day today
Just one more thing your friends asked me to say.
Everybody loves you and thinks you are great
You're 40 today so lets celebrate.

Not too many candles for the cake
The insurance man says and flinches;
Cheeky thing take no notice of him
Just you count out how many clinches!

""

50

Half a century now that's a good one
You are now officially half a ton;
So stuff your face quite merrily
You're allowed to have lots of fun.

""

It won't be long when your arms are too short
You squint at the labels on things;
You'll be glad though you can't see the lines
But it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

Humor then becomes a must
To see someone else in the mirror;
To put make up on them every day
You turn into a conjuror.

""

60

As the decades fall fast
You live more in the past;
Todays stuff you don't understand
Feeling teleported to a different land.

Used to be gets said a lot
Especially when things go wrong;
But today is a good day
We'll celebrate it with a song.

Remember that sleeping pills and laxatives just don't go
It won't be a good time at all;
Today is the day when you are still running around
You should still be having a ball.

""

70

Well you've made your three score years and ten
As so many have nowadays;
So enjoy your retirement and play lots of golf
Or whatever you're into, whatever you say.

A few lines and some wrinkles
It's a funny thing;
How do we get fatter
Looking like we're tied up with string

As the years roll by our thoughts change too
We're proud now that we're 72;
Our friends have clocked up lots more miles
All of us are full of smiles.

Their maybe aches and pains
But better them than nothing;
At least we know we're still alive
Trust me at least that's something!

Many things go in our favor
Bus passes for one;
Wisdom to avoid the madness
This world has now become.

So let's sing and rejoice
At this wonderful gift of life;
As far as we are truly aware
We don't get to come this way twice.

Many of the 0's can be moved from one to another
As verses are hard to find;
So we hope that some of these ideas you use
Tell others if you would be so kind!

""

A century used to be in history books
Sounding extremely long;
But I've heard it many times before
But there's nothing like the birthday song.
Maggie-May

""

Waste not want not is a famous phrase
Gratitude is the attitude;
So of todays precious moments 1,440 of them
Make every single one valued.

So Happy Birthday for every second
No matter young or old;
Your only as old as the person you feel
So you are worth your weight in gold.
