We've known lots of pleasure,
At times endured pain,
We've lived in the sunshine
And walked in the rain.

But now we're separated
And for a time apart,
But I am not alone-
You're forever in my heart.

Death always seems so sudden,
And it is always sure,
But what is oft' forgotten-
It is not without a cure.

There may be times you miss me,
I sort of hope you do,
But smile when you think of me,
For I'll be waiting for you.

Now there's many things for you to do,
And lots of ways to grow,
So get busy, be happy,and live your life,
Miss me, but let me go.

The celebration of their life
Can be seen by all those there;
The sadness and the emptiness
Is only because you care.

Life goes on it's really hard
To imagine but it does;
So say goodbye I'll see you when
It's not my turn to go because.

That big C that came and went
Has finished you off alright;
But throughout the whole experience
So much more did come to light.

We appreciated every second
Every day was such a gift;
The memories of that time
Will always give me a lift.

It's been a long road that we have travelled
And now you're going on alone;
I don't know how I'll carry on
With this heart of mine turned to stone.
I miss you with my every heartbeat
With my every single waking second;
My tears have dried up for now
But very soon they will be beckoned.
At a smell or a sound, a tune or a taste,
The floods of tears return;
I will soon be carrying you for the very last time
When you have been placed inside your urn.

This is the start to your journey
At the end of earthly life;
You will have peace and quiet
No more of this strife.

You learnt many lessons
Whilst down here on this earth;
You've taught many others
Of qualities and their worth.

So missing you already
Is how the saying goes;
How to get by without you
Only heaven knows.

As we are all standing here together
With hearts so full of love;
Our memories of you are stirring
The angels into action up above.

You will be welcomed like the king
That you was to us in life;
You take our love wrapped round you
From your ever loving wife.
