I miss you more than you'll ever know
The hollow sounds that are in my life;
I cannot believe that you've left
Before you even became my wife.

I had never left your side
I was at your bedside when you went;
Since that fateful day we crashed
That awful tragic event.

Missing you hurts so much more
Than anything I've ever felt;
I will love you always though
While I deal with the hand I was dealt.

The emptiness throughout my days
Is because I'm on my own;
You leaving just like that
Upside down my life was thrown.

I can't make sense or reason
As to why you went that way;
Please talk to me and let me know
I need to hear what you've got to say.

When we talked a year or two
Didn't sound so long;
I should've measured it in days
I know now I was wrong.

I miss your arms around me
Holding me close at night;
Telling me not to worry
That everything will be alright..

Homesick

I'm so homesick I could die
I miss everything there is;
From the streets where I live
To the food and the lousy service.

Because it is what I'm used to
I've found it hard to adjust;
Believe me though when I'm saying
That adjust is not an option it's a must.

Loss of a Pet

I miss you Alfie so much
The long walks in the park not the same;
I go on my own now
And all I want is to shout out your name.

You've been my best friend since childhood
In fact we grew up as one;
When I left for school you waited
Till all my work was done.

You were with me when I learned
How to ride my bike on my own;
When we got lost in the woods once
It was you that showed me how to get home.

We've had tea whilst watching the telly
I can't sit there on my own;
I stay in the kitchen with mom now
Not knowing what to do with my bones.
I miss you Alfie

Missing you at this great time
I wish I was by your side;
As you become a Grandma too
My age cannot be lied.

This makes me great grandma too
I like the great anyway;
So this is one heck of a time
I miss you-what can I say!
