My Goodbye Poem to a very dear friend at her funeral!
We met through a boyfriend
But you became so much more to me;
It would've been great if I'd married him
But you've still been a mum to me.
We both were widows and grandmothers too
So we chatted on a different plane;
We both could talk our problems out
As the kids were driving us insane.
Problems in families have changed
The years have done all that;
But they brought us closer together
Our friendship we excelled at.
Thank You for adopting me when my Mum died!!
You filled a gaping hole;
You became my dearest friend
That I would ever hold!
