You are so far away
And you're sadly missed;
Even though most of the time
You were actually pissed.
We hope that the new healthier you
Is winning on all different levels;
As you've had to change course
As you've been a bit of a devil.
So this is just to let you know
We do think of you from time to time;
Remembering the laughs that we had
And the mountains we did climb.
From your mates down the pub!

A plane ride away that's what you said
In my heart of hearts I know that's true;
But I'm not going to get there very much
And I really, really miss you.

Look up at the full moon
When it comes around;
I'll look up at it too
A bond we will have found.
The sea that laps upon your shore
Is the same one that comes on mine;
We can look at that together
Even share a glass of wine
Technology is a wonderful thing
Bringing us closer together;
And we don't have to wait
As snail mail takes forever.

Over the hills and faraway
Where the clouds can get in a minute;
If I'd known this idea of yours would hurt this much
I would've told you to bin it!

I'm coming out to see you
It's been a long, long time;
But even after all these months
You've still got this heart of mine.

The world is a smaller place
We know that now we've been;
To all the wonders of the world
And all the sights we've seen.
We're on our way home now
This is just to let you know;
We're crossing the miles to get to you
Whatever you do don't go!
