As I look into your eyes
I can see what the grandhildren see;
A reflection of themselves in you
It's a great comfort to you and me.

The family bloodline carries on
The characteristics and the traits;
What's best of all on days like this
We come together and celebrate.

Example and our wit;
So Thank You on this special Day
As beside you we now sit.

For the world we have today;
We think it all happens on it's own
No matter what we say.

So we wish you well

Grandparents get younger every year
So the celebrations get more;
As lots of generations
We now have to adore.

That only grandparents can fill;
The cuddles and the magic hugs
That always fit the bill.

The stories and the magic times
Old games are still the best;
My grandad knows how to cheat
So he can beat the rest.

We laugh and chuckle all the time
It's all good fun you know;
So Happy Grandparents Day
We truly love you so!

Few can bring the warmth
We can find in their embrace,
And little more is needed to bring love.
Than the smile on their face.

They’ve a supply of precious stories,
Yet they’ve time to wipe a tear,
Or give us reasons to make us laugh,
They grow more precious through the years.

I believe that God sent us Grandparents
As our legacy from above,
To share the moments of our life,
As extra measures of His love.
