The sound of little feet
The holding of little hands;
Special magic kisses
That only Grandma can.

Time to answer questions
Smiling all the time;
Different to when
The little children were mine.

I always had to much to do
Not enough time I said;
Couldn't wait till six 'o'clock
When I put them all to bed.

Too young, too soon
I don't know what it was;
All I know now is that I feel
Amazed how blessed I feel 'cos.

My grandchiuldren make me smile
Inside my heart and out;
As families are really
What it is all about.

When you were born you looked at me
Or at least I thought you did;
Now you run into my arms
Doing anything I bid.

You love to come to Grandmas
Grandma loves it too;
I can get to cuddle and kiss
And thoroughly spoil you.

Some of my grandchildren are Mums and Dads
Now understanding all their stress;
I can help out where I can
Whenever they feel they're in a mess.

The children are a blessing
I appreciate that now;
But years ago when I was young
I took it for granted anyhow.

Children grow up so quick nowadays
They know so many things;
Techno stuff is easy peasy
It's as if they've all got wings.

I've watched you grow and I'm proud of you
Thank you for all the things you've shown;
Grandma and Grandad surfing the net
Round the planet we have flown.

Have a very happy time
We love you very much;
We will miss you when you leave
But now we can keep in touch.

High spirits, energy always whizzing around
I suppose we were all like that one time;
Short bursts are the times I have
With those grandsons of mine.

I'm in a spin but Grandads there
He can hold them down;
They love trying to wear him out
He just loves being the clown.

We're so proud that you've done well
Life has certainly opened up;
University and degrees
Go and drink from lifes full cup.

It's a different world from ours
Sometimes good and sometimes bad;
But for what it's worth you need to know
It's what you make of it now my lad!
Well Done Love from Grandma & Grandad.
