All of us are different
Whilst all of us are the same;
We may be different gender
We may have different names.

The minute we are born
We are all destined to die;
It's the friends we make on the way
They're what make us sigh.

Neither want to leave
It leaves a great big hole;
Not one of us really knows
Have we really got a soul.

My sister said she had
So I'll go along with that;
She told me she'd go first
For her I'll take off my hat.

Who am I going to argue with now
Who'll look out for me;
She's been the best sister
The world has ever seen.

This is coming from my heart
I reach out to you and say;
Put your hand in mine
I'll help you through the day.

I've tried and tried as hard as I could
To say the words I feel;
So please believe me when I say
My love for her was real.

Families are renowned
For not talking very much;
So this split has got to end
It's too late now we can't retouch.

I have got to live with it
My sister knew all along;
That I loved her no matter what
And knew that I was wrong.

I left it and now too late
I've got to make amends;
So once again I hold out my hand
Please can we now be friends.

Grief is a strange old word
It's full of pain inside;
It covers almost anything
As long as it has died.

It could be love that hurts
You don't know where it's gone;
It could be a long lost friend
With news to late it's done.

Your dog has died
Your faithful friend;
You were there
At the very end.

Grieving over words
Some said and some words not;
Too late to put it right
You should've said it and had a shot.

Grieving over what might have been
With a love that felt on fire;
It stayed with you for many years
It really was quite dire.

Waste not want not is very true
You only live this life once;
You'll only regret the nots you missed
Not all the things you've done.
