Sorry that you're leaving
I don't like the back of you;
I've just got to know the front
And to the horizon you flew.

This party has gone with a bang
Unfortunately for me;
It's me that's going to the hospital
I've broke my arm you see.

So another time, another place
I might get the hang of this;
The glove just doesn't fit
I'll leave you with a kiss.

Leaving good old blighty
To go to eastern shores;
As here my work is done
You don't need me anymore.

Looking back is not my style
So this goodbye is it;
Good and great while it lasted
This is a midnight flit.

I will leave you with a tale
One of woe and sad supreme;
You won't believe what I say
But I hope you know what I mean.

My heart is yours forever
My life unfortunately is not;
I'm not long for this world
I can't tell you what I've got.

A goodbye now is for the best
I want you to hear it from me;
Otherwise just a message
Would be handed don't you see.

I'm leaving home now mom and dad
I've got a pad somewhere to call my own
I'll make as much mess as I want;
Somewhere that will be my home.

You've sheltered me for to long now
I've driven you mad over the years
With my dirty socks and messy room
I know mom I've driven you to tears.

So celebrate! Your home is now your own
For things to stay so nice and clean;
Peace and quiet long overdue
No longer feeling like my canteen.
