It is with great sadness I send you this card
Your marriage was full of such promise;
But your love has died and disappeared
Taking your man but don't antagonise.

What goes around comes around
To each and everyone;
His come uppence will surely mean
In the end it is he that will get done.

The vows have gone out the window
Along with what you possess;
She threw everything back at you
I expect you deserved it I guess.

It's now too late to say sorry
What you've done , can't be undone;
So you'll just have to pick up the pieces
You are just one hell of a son.

Where's the rules we showed you
Of love and honor and trust;
You just had one too many
And then decided you just must.

If you take everything that's on a plate
Don't tell someone "I love you";
Because they'll expect your faithfulness
And that's just what we would do too.

The pain will go away
The kids will feel much better;
Forgive and forget is hard to do
But try and follow it to the letter.

Letting it go means you can move on
Standing still for a while's okay;
But don't stand in one place too long
The memories will drag you down everyday.

Build a new life brick by brick
Rome wasn't built in a day;
You'll feel better a bit at a time
I'll help you-what do you say?

Whatever were we thinking
That night out on the tiles;
We shouldn't have got wed
On the LA marriage mile.

The spur of the moment
Through rose tinted eyes;
Whatever were we thinking
It was certainly not wise.

We could keep it a secret
How do we undo this farce?
Can you remember who witnessed it
'Cos they can kiss my arse.

I've never felt this sad before
As if I don't belong;
I thought this would be forever
That love would be our song.

Little by little it went away
I didn't know how to make it stay;
Our vows went along with it
It's sad on our Divorce day.

It feels like an operation
It takes a while to recuperate;
But heal in time you surely will
I'll be ready to commiserate.

The Red Lion and then The Swan
And then the Rose and Crown;
We'll try a few nightclubs after that
All your sorrows we will drown.

When they leave the house,
Men kiss their wife goodbye
When they leave the wife.
They kiss their house goodbye

Unwanted gifts don't get wrapped
But this one needs respect;
For proper healing to take place
You don't need to leave regrets.

So try and show some honor
Forgiveness where it's due;
Let go peacably if you can
It's no good feeling blue.

Have a little ceremony
To break the vows made in heaven;
As an angel was sent that very day
To watch over you and was interwoven.
